Cologne Chair, 1985, 2012

Designed by Lukas Reimbold Architect and available in various fine versions. The Cologne Chair was designed in a artistically fervent Cologne in the mid-1980s. The rationalistic design quotes Bauhaus and DeStil elements but goes beyond. The chair was reworked in 2012 producing a “Comfort-Version” alongside the radical formalism of the “classic”, both available in various fine materials. An all-white outdoor model is in preparation.

The materials are stainless steel either brushed or polished, seats are in various kinds of wood, here cherry wood, and surfaces are either oiled or in french polish (Shellac). The comfort version comes with various leather seat options. The whole is handcrafted to highest standards in Germany.

Der Cologne Chair wurde Mitte der 80er Jahre im damals künstlerisch sehr anregenden Köln entworfen. Es handelt sich um ein konsequentes Formkonzept, das an Entwürfe der Bauhauszeit sowie De Stijl anknüpft, jedoch im Rationalismus zu Hause ist.  Im Jahre 2012 wurde der Stuhl nochmals überarbeitet und präsentiert sich nun neben dem kompromisslosen Klassiker auch in einer bequemen Komfort-Version und wird in verschiedenen hochwertigen Ausführungen und Materialien angeboten.Eine All-White-Outdoor-Variante befindet sich in Vorbereitung.
