Casa Bianchi – Crucitti, Roof Conversion, Abbiategrasso 2007

I had converted this old house with annexed shed already in 1999 enlarging the living area widely into the shed. Now the roof started to need a major refit and the owners requested to study if a solar roof could be feasable. The old roof consisted of three different roofs and a tipological reorganisation was necessary which resulted in a long glass roof with transparent solar modules which could provide further living space conected to the existing house and/or as separate appartment and a large terrace.
